Progress through exchange¶
A useful conversation can reveal an assumption we have not yet tested.
University teams, healthcare professionals, public-health organisations and local communities brought different perspectives to our project. The timeline below summarises the exchanges described in the full record.
Three perspectives on the design
Exchanges with Hunan University, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University and Southern Medical University raised questions about logic, biomarkers, background response and clinical relevance.
Connect the response to its purpose
Discussions with Fudan University and Shenzhen University explored diagnosis–intervention coordination, selectivity and the need to consider the wider microbial environment.
Make safety part of the question
The exchange with Huazhong Agricultural University focused on biosafety, release boundaries and the proposed containment design.
Invite questions beyond our own team
The first APIC exchange connected poster discussions and project presentations with questions about specificity, stability, verification and communication.

Beyond the university¶
Community activities gave children and residents opportunities to discuss our work. Discussions with the First Hospital of Lanzhou University and the Gansu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention widened the focus to practical needs, public health and responsible development.
These are records of dialogue. They do not establish clinical effectiveness or endorsement of a finished product.
