Human practices#
Awaiting team input
This page has to record events that either happened or did not: conversations held, with whom, and what changed as a result. None of that is recoverable from the lab record, and inventing it would defeat the purpose of the section.
What belongs here:
- Conversations — who was consulted (clinicians, delivery researchers, biosafety officers, patient groups, the public), when, and in what setting.
- What changed — the specific design or scope decisions that came out of those conversations. A human-practices section with no changed decisions is a description of outreach, not of practice.
- Open questions — what was raised that the project has not resolved.
Two topics from the science are worth putting to people outside the team, and would make good starting points: the fact that this is a delivery platform, whose eventual users would be patients rather than laboratories; and the decision to use antibiotic resistance as a selection readout, which is defensible (see Biosafety) but is exactly the kind of choice that benefits from being explained to someone who did not design it.
