Junyi Huang, a junior student in Ocean University of China, majors in Biological Science. He is interested in taxidermy, stargazing and birdwatching. He acts as one of the leaders of OUC_DE, and believes that scientific research will bring us real benefits and warmth of daliy life.
Lanheng Nie, a senior student who majors in biology science at Ocean University of China. Because of great curiosity about the mechanism behind life phenomena, she joined the Biotechnology Association in her freshman year.She felt that many life phenomena were wonderful and the mysteries were waiting for her to explore, so she deeply liked her major. In the future, she hopes to conduct epigenetic studies.

My name is Jiang Xiaoyu from Ocean University of China, majoring in aquaculture. I like the research topic of biosynthesis very much, so I participated in this competition. I like reading literature, playing basketball and painting Chinese paintings.

Mingfu ZHAO, a student from Ocean University of China College of Marine Life Sciences, major in Biology. He has a wide range of but not in-depth hobbies including breeding fish for display, playing computer games and so on. Because of loving life, he loves life sciences and often losing himself in quietly watching the fish swim freely in the water. Microorganisms are just like free fish that we cannot see with the naked eyes, and we are observing them with some other things. That’s what we are doing.

Xianghong Wang,Ph.D., senior engineer, master tutor, graduated from The Department of Marine Biology, Ocean University of China, deputy director of the Marine Life Science Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, Ocean University of China, and secretary of the Party Branch of the Center. His research interests include Marine yeast resources, physiology and biochemistry, genetics and application, Marine beneficial bacteria, Marine bacterial diversity and active substances.
Zixiang Zhong, Postgraduate, a photography enthusiast, who likes to see the sea at sunrise, likes sunny or snowy days, and hates rainy days. He is the mentor of OUC_DE. He attended iDEC twice and is now a graduate student at OUC, interested in functional gene roles during sexual reproduction in ciliates.
