Table 1) Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3) growth curve in various salt concentrations in LB. E.coli BL21 were inoculated from overnight culture in triplicate into LB media with various salt concentrations. These were then incubated at 250rpm in 37°C and samples were taken and the OD600 measured every 1 hour. Cultures with an OD600 significantly above 1 were diluted 10 fold and their mean value calculated by multiplying by 10, these are indicated by .*
